All new mobile phones are covered by a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty to the initial buyer for manufacturing defects identified in the year following the date of purchase of the cell phone. Repairs generally take 3 to 4 weeks. In no more than 72 hours, you will receive a prepaid courier waybill to send your defective phone to the proper service centre. Defects and damages caused by improper storage, contact with liquid or humidity, physical damage, unauthorized modifications, misuse, neglect, abuse, misapplications, accidents, improper installation, abnormal operating conditions, or act of God are not covered. For cell phones, you can request a quotation for the amount of the repair. If you reject the quotation, your credit card or Bell Mobility account will be charged an estimate fee of $25. If you accept the quotation, the estimate fee does not apply, but repair charges do. All Bell BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones are covered by a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or receipt of the device.
